Barnsley College is a large Further Education with around 6,000 full and part-time learners.  As a college we have been solely using White Rose Dyslexia Centre for the last academic year, 2014/15, for exam concession assessments.  They provide an outstanding, affordable and flexible service to meet the needs of our learners.

We use your services and have found that they are of an excellent standard. Staff are quick to respond and extremely helpful. The assessments carried out are child friendly and thorough. Reports are detailed and give good recommendations for support and ways forward. We will continue to use White Rose Dyslexia Centre and appreciate the work you do.

Very thorough assessment for my daughter and still managed to keep it fun. Excellent report, THANK YOU so much! Now we know she has severe visual stress, we can give her all the support she needs. I really couldn't recommend this service enough.

After many years of thinking there was a problem, but no-one apparently taking us seriously, it was such a relief to meet two friendly, professional people who did take our worries seriously and offered realistic and practical help and advice. Both Jess and Vicky were prepared to go ‘an extra’ mile on our behalf, which we really appreciated.

White Rose Dyslexia have been excellent to work with. Their diagnostic assessments are detailed and professional, our students feel at ease working with them and they are flexible when it comes to making appointments. The extra support and advice they’ve given me has been invaluable. They are a pleasure to deal with.

As an adult and only just been diagnosed the staff made me feel like I wasn't daft as I've always thought! They made me understand dyslexia and me feel really comfortable. In addition, my 9 year old was tested there, she was also made to feel positive about dyslexia and helped her to feel comfortable.
Alicia
My son had an assessment here and would recommend to anyone. Made us feel comfortable and talked to my son about his difficulties and made him feel at ease when he was quite nervous about going. Recommendations from Vicki will help my son in school enormously now and we are thankful for your advice.
Louise
On paper my son came out as borderline dyslexic but high on visual stress. It was a breath of fresh air to be told with 100% honesty that yes he goes about things differently but that he has already good coping mechanisms in place, we now understand him better and have new ways that we need to react to his learning and behaviour to help him. If you want an honest account of your child's condition from my experience this is the place to go.
