‘Freedom Day’ Covid update.

Hope you’re all enjoying the sun!
Our Covid update, while we realise that today is ‘Freedom Day’, we will still be requiring people to wear their masks at all times – unless you’re exempt or a child. This is to protect yourselves as well as us.
We are only a small team and want to stay fighting fit so that we can continue to provide assessments to as many of you as we can.
We understand masks can feel like a burden, but it’s a small requirement in order to stay open. We hope you understand!

April 2021 update!

Image for April 2021 update!
We are pleased to confirm that White Rose Dyslexia Centre will begin the process of re-opening on Monday 12th April 2021.
During that week we will start to call all people who have contacted us for an appointment, so please do bear with us as we will be in touch.
Thank you for understanding.

Following the Government announcement of a National Lockdown: Stay at Home order, our policy continues to be as before, to abide by the regulations in order to ensure the safety of our staff, clients and children.

We are therefore not conducting face to face appointments until the restrictions are lifted and we will review the situation again in mid-February, along with any Government guidance.

In the meantime, we remain open to provide advice and guidance, as well as recording details of those wishing to be contacted for appointments once we re-open.

Our telephone number is 0114 2656991 and email:

Following the announcement of the Government’s latest Covid-19 lockdown measures, we are unfortunately classed as a ‘non-essential’ business and will therefore be closed for at least the next four weeks.

At the end of this period of lockdown, we will be contacting our clients to re-arrange all postponed appointments, as a priority.

We are still available to take enquiries and offer advice; in addition, anyone who wants to book an appointment with us can provide their contact details and we will be in touch once we have re-arranged the postponed appointments.

Update: Covid-19 Tier 3 Measures

At present White Rose Dyslexia Centre is not one of the business sectors specifically designated for closure, as part of the movement of South Yorkshire to Tier 3 measures to combat Covid-19.

Since we re-opened in July we have implemented procedures which have been very effective. As a result of the Tier 3 restrictions and with the safety of our clients and staff a priority, we are in the process of re-evaluating our risk assessment in order to implement any additional measures necessary.

We will be contacting all clients who have appointments booked with us over the coming weeks to offer options to either keep appointments as they are, or move to a later date if it is felt safer to do so. Beyond that we remain open and are here to provide advice and support as usual.

We’re back on the 6th of July!

We are pleased to confirm that our team will be back in the office on Monday 6th July 2020 to start the process of getting the business up and running again. Part of that will involve new working practices and procedures, which are intended to minimise risks whilst we conduct assessments. These will be communicated in detail to those people booking and attending appointments with us.

For anyone who had an assessment postponed during lock-down measures, or who has telephoned us since, then you will be contacted w/c 6th July 2020 to agree suitable appointments dates and times.
